Light Years Ahead is an energy efficiency and renewable initiative for local government.

Street lighting makes up a large part of councils’ electricity bill.

The Light Years Ahead program works with Western Sydney councils to replace inefficient street lights to the latest energy-saving LED lights.

Light Years Ahead will be coordinated through the Western Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils (WSROC) in partnership with Endeavour Energy and participant councils.
