Regional Waste Coordinator - Full or Part time

Eleven-month contract (maternity leave cover) until 30 May 2021 with the opportunity to work full or part time.

 

The Western Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils (WSROC) is seeking an enthusiastic professional to join the Western Sydney Regional Waste Coordination team. This committed team works with nine participating councils to deliver regional waste projects under the Western Sydney Regional Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Strategy.


You will work with WSROC staff, council staff, staff in DPIE and NSW EPA, executives, elected representatives and other stakeholders to improve regional waste outcomes under the Strategy, aligned to the priorities of councils as well as State Government. You will also be responsible for the coordination, administration and project management of regional waste initiatives identified in the strategy.

What you will need to be considered for this role –

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, or at least 5 years demonstrated knowledge and experience working in waste management in a Local or State Govt related role.
  • Experience working with Sydney Councils, NSW EPA, DPIE and/or NSW Government Agencies.

 

Salary is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
